The Commitment: Refuse a bad mood! Feeling at our best all the time isn’t reality…but how we train our thoughts and take action can improve a situation, mood and well-being!
“Beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from negativity.” ~Anonymous
The Question is: Why Perpetuate a Bad Mood and Permeate The Day? What’s the point of fighting with or self-bullying yourself? Doesn’t it make more sense to make your day the best it can be? Last Question: Why do we allow a bad mood to fester?
To follow up: Why compromise any day? Is it necessary to give power to your demons, toxic people and unhealthy situations? Do you like to suffer when you can choose not to?
Let’s face it: It doing this makes us feel yucky. Our daily decisions impact our happiness, health and well-being and consequently make our mood better or worse.
Give yourself permission to not go there. It never helps, it only hurts. Sync with a positive mindset, let it be, free yourself from creating grief. We control our thoughts and actions!
Isn’t it Time To Control Your Worrisome Thoughts. You Can Train Yourself To Control Them.
Think about this: Let’s be real…we are responsible for our own happiness. Let’s cut to the chase…make sure your day doesn’t suck! 1. Stay aware of triggers that create a rabbit hole and don’t get lured in. 2. Learn to balance demands and emotions. 3. Work to release insecurities; invite in confidence and trust. Add self-love, a good healthy support system and a positive mindset.
What’s your choice? Aristotle eloquently said: “Happiness depends upon ourselves.” Avert triggers that will land you in dangerous territory and suck you into the irrational.
Red Alert: Our attitude can improve a situation. We owe it to ourselves to care enough to stay in control. Think first before reacting and prevent the domino effect from activating.
Here’s an affirmation: Control what I can let go of what I can’t! Keep a level head! I’m tougher than I may think! And…One of my favorite sayings: “Life is better when you’re laughing.”
Here’s a quote to tap into:
“Positive people also have negative thoughts, they just don’t let those thoughts grow and destroy them.”
Try out this activity to reinforce a positive mindset: Recognize the connection between your mood and behaviors that trigger it to go negative. Make a list – post it where you can see it. Then write your counter to stop the activation. Vow to distract from a bad mood.
Mentality, cheer for yourself. Remain in control of your attitude and aware of what’s happening!
Think about this: Don’t make yourself the center of attention, take the emphasis off of yourself.
The quotes shared illustrate my thoughts! When we focus on the happy stuff we forget about the bad stuff. Here goes...Now let’s…Make A Commitment:

#2 : Can not Can’t; Possible not Impossible! Hold this Alexander The Great quote close:“There is nothing impossible to they who will try.” The balls in our court! Yes we CAN!
#3: Remember our attitude is in our control . Make a pact and channel this Helen Keller quote: “Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.” It’s a decision we all can make.

#1: Exercise, dance, sing, walk in nature. Stay hyper aware of what’s happening and get moving with these simple and free endorphin releasing activities. James Dean shared: “I can’t change the direction of the wind but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” Simply said we are in control of thoughts, actions, emotions if we choose to be… turn the light on not off.
#2: Work to fight the negativity: Think before reacting, let go of your ego and embrace this quote by Demi Lovato. “No matter what you’re going though, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.” Don’t waste a precious day, fight to make it bright.
#3: Visualize your best self! Meditate, practice mindfulness, help someone, enlist gratitude: Jump into a change for the better. Einstein said: “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your Balance, you must keep moving.” Ask yourself why give up? Then go, go, go!
#4: Create something; Aim for accomplishment: Purpose and passion are a cure for a negative mind. Lean in with your heart not fear. Think of this Audrey Hepburn quote and don’t become your own enemy. “Nothing is impossible. The word itself says I’m Possible.” The more we do anything, positive or negative the more chance there is for it to multiply - so let it be a good not a bad habit or experience that is repeated.
#5: Surround yourself with a positive, healthy support system. Call a friend, have a chat. Make plans to do something upbeat and fun! Treat yourself and befriend this E. E. Cummings quote: “The most wasted day is one without laughter.” Invite in a happier mood…add some giggles and a belly laugh.
YES: We’re OUR life’s creator! Change is choice. Bad moods will compromise our life and shut out opportunity.
Take responsibility for each day! Add self-love and a positive mindset! Attitude is a big contributor to any outcome!
Sleeping and eating well makes a difference too! Think about the food you put into your body because that too can improve our mood. Here are a few foods that help: Fruits and veggies, berries, dark green leafy vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats found in fish, nuts and beans, dark chocolate, eggs, foods with tryptophan like turkey. Here’s a mantra: I control my mood; no attitude disruptions allowed.
I will leave you with this Walt Whitman quote: “Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.” Sending so much Love and Light your way.
